Senior International Trade Analyst, Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic
65 countries worldwide are supported by the Center of Excellence team, collaborating with the Global Logistics and Customs and Trade Compliance functions across all Novartis divisions and businesses.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Highly experienced and accountable for the correctness of customs classification for material in scope globally, in various ERP systems.
Act as an advisor when required to Novartis business if customs classification needs further explanation or training, where the country Customs Authorities have initiated a review of the classification.
Manage export controls including classification, management and monitoring of license application for controlled goods and/or embargo and sanction territories.
Good understanding of embargoes and sanctions currently in place including screening process, potential match assessment, release or escalation.
Good understanding on the Country of Origin calculation and determination: rules of origin, insufficient workings, under the relevant Free Trade Agreements.
Prepare and present reports on customs and trade compliance matters.
Collaborate within the team and Novartis businesses to achieve objectives in Customs and Trade matters.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biomedicine or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs and international trade function.
Basic knowledge, gained in a large multinational company, in relation to trade sanction screening and potential hits.
Knowledge of import and export principles including: customs classification, export control classification, country of origin determination process and post-entry declaration checks.
Pharmaceutical, chemical or food industry experience is desired.
Experience with SAP and GTS.
One or more additional UN and/or EU official languages.
Management of small and intermediate Supply Chain projects.

This contract is limited for 12 months minimum, it can be renewed.
