DESCRIPTION
We are looking to appoint a new People Operations Specialist who will play a key role in driving continued growth through people programs, processes, policies, and practices that enable EPAM to attract, develop, engage, leverage, and retain talent in highly competitive markets in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are searching for a smart, competent, confident and hard-working professional who already proved himself/herself in a demanding role and had personal exposure to various aspects of people management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as primary contact person for employees based in the Czech Republic
Be responsible for smooth onboarding process of locally hired or relocated employees in the Czech Republic, with backup role in Slovakia (communication with new joiners and managers, onboarding paperwork, enrolment into payroll, benefits, etc.)
Provide consultancy and adaptation support to new joiners, including country-specific information to relocated / foreign employees. Organize associated programs, such as induction, buddy program, etc.)
Work closely with the mobility team on relocations and international assignments. Support people relocating to the Czech Republic / Slovakia. Provide guidance, advice and practical assistance (i.e. cultural orientation, medical, tax, insurance, social security matters, accommodation)
Provide ad hoc assistance, prepare ad hoc requested documents to employees / candidates
Serve as a subject matter expert for all areas of the responsibility (labor law and regulations, etc.)
Coordinate and liaise with all relevant departments (global mobility, talent & acquisition, office management, IT support, finance) to ensure smooth and efficient management of processes and positive people experience
Assist other People Team members in the areas outside the primary responsibility (benefits management, events management, retention, motivation, etc.)
Build a close and trusted relationship with all stakeholders
Help managers to effectively deal with people-related challenges
Identify and leverage opportunities. Solve problems, develop and deliver solutions
Help further strengthen EPAM’s brand and ability to attract the right talent in the local market
Provide advice and guidance on HR & local labour law related issues
Develop and maintain close and positive relationships with employees. Facilitate an ongoing dialogue, invite their input and feedback, conduct surveys, analyse feedback from various sources, and help implement actions that can enhance employee engagement and retention
Efficiently manage and document HR processes and decisions leveraging the firm’s people management tools and technologies
Ensure that all workforce changes are properly administered
Develop, implement, manage and continuously improve HR processes and practices. Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement and drive positive change
Review and shape employment-related local policies and procedures to ensure their local relevance, effectiveness, and compliance. Ensure proper documentation is in place
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of HR experience, preferably in the People Operations role
Experience in working in the technology sector or a similar, progressive industry is an advantage
Experience in working in multi-national and multi-cultural environment will be desirable
Solid knowledge of Czech employment rules and regulations, Slovak Labour law is a plus
Experience and involvement in HR processes management and employees communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn to work with new tools and technologies
Higher degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
Fluency in Czech with a strong command of written and spoken English
