UpWord English is a well-established private program offering accelerated EFL/ESL instruction in Czech schools. We provide high-quality instruction for students ranging in age from 1st to 9th grade.
This position will begin near the end of February 2023 or at the start of March 2023 and will continue until June with the possibility of summer work or a renewed contract for the next school year. The role entails teaching children and youth with English levels ranging from beginner to advanced.
We are currently seeking a native-speaking English teacher for three small online classes, five in-school classes and a number of individual online lessons. All classes take place Monday-Thursday in the afternoon and in the evening. The native English-speaking teacher will work alongside a Czech assistant in the classroom. Though most of the curriculum and resources are preprepared and the learning outcomes are decided upon there is a lot of room for teacher independence and creativity.
Requirements:
Native speakers of English must have TEFL or other teaching certification
Must be legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic
(if applying for school program)
Business license (živnostenský list) or DPP contract
Contract until the end of June (with the possibility of extension)

A position at school in Prague 5 (ZŠ Mládí) and/or in Prague 7 (ZŠ Trojská)
Part time job, 12 – 20 hours per week, free Fridays
