We are an internal team working on our big, shared infrastructure with Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware hypervisors. But we also maintain dedicated customer infrastructure if it is placed in our datacenters. We are currently looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure specialist with focus on Microsoft and all the infrastructure technologies they provide. The position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience working with Microsoft infrastructure in large IT environments.
Are you a lazy highly skilled Microsoft Infrastructure specialist, then come join our Operations team. We maintain and operation all central infrastructure used for all our customers. We wish to do as little work manually and encourage making task easier for our self. We are currently working on making our life easier with as much use of script and automation to save time, more fun and provide standardized installations.
About the position:
You will be responsible for our large Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure, both shared and dedicated, ensuring that it is running, stable and making sure that everything is working as expected. Your primary tasks will consist of, but are not limited to design, defining standards, maintaining, scripting, troubleshooting, configuration, and new installation of our servers in our shared environments. You will also provide input for capacity planning, improvement and where to expand our services.
Your responsibilities:
Handle our Microsoft Hyper-V environments, both shared and dedicated.
Design new environments with focus in Microsoft infrastructure.
Primary on Microsoft technologies and general Windows features keeping UpToDate on what is going on in the marked and newest trends on Microsoft installations
Lead on maintaining and ensuring our internal Active Directory using for our internals systems in the team is secure, working as expected and in general in good working order to ensure as few interrupts and incidents as possible.
Provide input for capacity planning
Provide input on how to evolve our use with Microsoft products
Assist our consultants and other team members with configuration, customization and troubleshooting of Microsoft infrastructure, both centralized and customer based.
Provide feedback on thresholds and settings to improve monitoring
RFC work: planning, creation, CAB participation and finally execution of the change when approved
Assist colleagues with case work and other ad-hoc task.
Take part in our 3 level Operations on call duty, which rotate between our team member on weekly basis to provide an easier and standardized way of contacting our team.
About the team:
The operations team are 7 specialists, responsible for all centralized systems or services. E.g., Datacenters, Compute, Storage, Hypervisors, Automation, Monitoring- and Backup Services.
Required technical skills:
Have min 7 years of experience working with Microsoft Infrastructure in large IT environments
Have experience working with Microsoft Hyper-V
Microsoft Certified knowledge on Server environments is your advantage, but not a must
PowerShell script experience to be able to make your task easier.
Knowledge working according to ITIL framework

Be fluent in English, both spoken and written, as our communication language is English
