Your role
To monitor existing and potential customers and their level of risk to the company, ensuring a minimum bad debt level whilst ensuring an acceptable level of trading. To review and identify suspect transactions to our customers at the earliest opportunity using our fraud monitoring tools. To minimize both FLEETCOR’s and customers fraud losses maintaining customer confidence in our brands and products.
What you’ll be doing
Load new applications to Experian and perform detailed assessment in accordance with the Credit Policy and current procedures. Assess ‘Referred’ applications in accordance with the Credit Policy and current procedures. Identify information requirements and analysis needed to assess applications. Assessing a suitable level of risk for new and existing customers and recommending suitable credit limits and trading terms. Liaison with credit insurance company and insurance brokers. Escalating problem accounts to Risk Analyst. Communication and explanation of Experian decisions to internal customers. Assessment of accounts provided by customers (in various formats) and recommendation of credit limits and trading terms on assessment of the accounts. Use of Experian reports. Identify additional information required to support an application or maintain an existing account, and communicate reasons for requests internally. Maintenance of internal information database comprising customer data for assessment purposes Identification and correct handling of fraudulent information and credit applications. Management of securities required from and provided by customers. Working within defined parameters to recommend credit limits and trading terms. Monitor daily reports, identifying fraudulent spending and taking appropriate action. Contacting merchants to secure CCTV footage and liaise with the Police as required. Opening and working fraud cases in line with fraud matrix / Visa Operating Regulations. Analysing data looking at fraud patterns / spend to identify suspect merchants, employees. Highlight misuse of cards to customers and offering solutions to resolve. Ensuring customers have correct controls on cards to prevent paying by alternative means. Attend customer meetings /merchant meetings to discuss fraud issues as required, normally at FLEETCOR offices.
