This role offers the opportunity to lead Google’s business in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and to help users make the most of the web. You will be a member of the regional leadership team and contribute to the strategy and business development of the region. As the Vice President, you will lead a commercial team and drive how businesses, government, and consumers view Google. You will educate and persuade customers to embrace Google’s latest advertising products and technologies. You share the opportunities and challenges of the market, and advocate the priorities for our products. You will set transparent objectives, collaborate with your functional counterparts, and execute.

In this role, you will train and motivate a team. You will anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore/uncover the business needs of Google’s customers, and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you will set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach users.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Country Manager, Regional Leader, or General Manager/CEO of a growing business.
  • Experience in commercial general management within the technology, advertising, and/or online industries.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing among media, business, and government channels with excellent relationships within the advertising, technology, and startup sectors.
  • Experience with working in a multinational environment within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience with networking among political and economic decision makers.
  • Ability to focus and prioritize in a fast growing business environment and drive business performance/growth.
  • Ability to speak and write in one or more languages spoken in Central and Eastern European countries.
  • Excellent analytical acumen and thought leadership.
  • Lead sales and commercial operations to deliver business growth, with a focus on large advertisers and agency partners. Build key external relationships to grow key business opportunities.
  • Represent Google in the market beyond business relationships (e.g., government, media, opinion formers, etc.), and represent the Central and Eastern European region to Google (e.g. product and policy around business challenges and opportunities).
  • Lead cross-functionally and bring teams together around an integrated plan for Google’s success in the market.
  • Direct management of the Large Customer Sales (LCS) organization in Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Set business plans, sales strategy, and manage Google’s commercial activities.
  • Experience working as a Country Manager, Regional Leader, or General Manager/CEO of a growing business.
