More about the role
The Strategic K ey Account Manager will be responsible for the holistic management approach to the customer base and the ongoing development of profitable business growth from our major Key Accounts sector. The role will develop from base principles the strategy and structure for our account management approach for all customers, with the goals of maximizing the business profitability through the combined impacts of high quality of commercially focused decision making, improved customer satisfaction (through the development of best in class account management activities), improved customer retention, the successful enactment of pricing programmes, and profitable business growth.

    As the Strategic Key Account Manager, you will

  • Strengthen account management, customer care, improve margins and profitably grow wallet share with existing accounts
  • Be accountable for major account performance and build strong partnerships
  • Have ownership of liquid bulk price increase and margin enhancement programmes developed and implemented together with European Price and Margin Enhancement Manager
  • Manage bulk business process and data information
  • Manage commercially receivables performance together with customer services and new business generation
  • Manage growth and technology sales in line with new business targets and plans
  • Closely liaise with Generated Gases and European Segment teams
  • As the Strategic Key Account Manager, you already are or have

  • Proven previous experience in sales and commercial management
  • Solid understanding how to and proven ability to implement medium to longer term strategic plans and initiatives
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent and proven negotiating and “closing” skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • A sound understanding of budgeting, capital expenditure approvals and financial analysis.
  • The ability to develop a broad understanding of the business operations in order to provide the required influence on organizations essential to the success of the role, e.g. Customer Service, Customer Engineering, Supply Chain.
  • Fluent in English
