We are looking for a  Senior   Research Manager  to support the expansion of  IT Services Data and Analytics Team . This new role will help drive a strengthening of IDC’s IT Services data and analytics solution in Europe and build new relationships with clients and prospective clients.

We are looking for an outstanding analyst to support the European research stream and to support IT Services providers as they seek to structure, measure and plan their business in the region.

Responsibilities

As a  Senior   Research Manager for the IT Services Data and Analytics Team  you will:

  • Manage a team of experienced market analysts focusing on IT services markets
  • Be responsible for a number of complex analytics projects
  • Develop and present quantitative research and analysis
  • Ensure new, innovative research is developed and delivered on time and with the highest quality
  • Communicate and amplify key research results via online or live presentations, at clients’ meetings and/or IDC events and webcasts
  • Support IDC’s sales, consulting, and marketing teams by working on market-facing activities

    Qualifications

    This position calls for an individual with excellent communication, presentation and writing skills, along with extensive experience interacting with clients and with custom consulting project delivery.

    Interested individuals that meet the  following minimum requirements  are encouraged to apply:

  • Minimum 6-years job experience in a relevant practice at an IT market research or consulting firm; or in a Technology vendor
  • Degree level qualification: BA, BSc or equivalent or higher degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT markets, ideally on the IT services side (IT outsourcing, consulting, application-specific services etc.)
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to analyse and extract knowledge from different datasets
  • Data storytelling skills – ability to present the WHY with impact
  • Professional fluency in written and oral business English – fluency in a second European language is a plus
  • Qualifications

    The  successful candidate will be someone  who can demonstrate:

  • A broad understanding of digital trends and the developments in the technology landscape, with willingness to delve deeper into how IT services firms are setting themselves up based on them.
  • Willingness to be an excellent team player with a strong attitude to collaboration within and outside the core team
  • Ability to quickly build relationships inside and outside IDC
  • Great time management and planning skills
  • Being a self-starter who can work to tight schedules, balancing changing priorities of incoming work with scheduled delivery deadlines
  • Intellectual honesty and positive attitude
