Your field of responsibility
An outstanding opportunity to join QT Platform Services team that delivers internal solutions for hosting service-based applications (FaaS/PaaS). You will closely work with business partners in London, New York and Zurich. We encourage and reward positive and proactive/self-starter attitude, you will manage and take part in the software process from beginning to end with opportunities to work on significant projects and influence overall architecture.
By joining the team you will have a chance to learn:
  • C#/F# and functional programming

We put big emphasis on good software development practices – automated tests, design for testability, code reviews and Continuous Integration.

We have a daily scrum meeting, and after we agree on priorities, we manage our tasks independently.

Quantitative Analysis and Technology (“QAT”) is a global team responsible for modelling complex financial instruments within Credit Suisse. Those models are used daily by traders for pricing potential transactions, risk teams to evaluate existing positions and IT systems to fulfil various back-office responsibilities. Your skills and experience

Key requirements for the role are:

  • Knowledge of at least one major programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python) or F#
  • Understanding of good software practices – automated tests, continuous integration, agile methodologies
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Willingness to learn C# and F#
  • Good attention to detail and possess strong problem solving, analytical skills. Proven ability to manage work effectively under pressure
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
The following will be advantageous:

  • Proven experience with some of: web applications or services development, low latency applications
  • Proven ability to do design and architecture, and write maintainable code.
  • Knowledge of the functional programming paradigm or functional languages such as Haskell or Scala
  • Undergraduate degree with honors in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics, or equivalent level commercial experience
