Who are we?
HID is currently seeking Senior In-House Counsel who will support the optimization of HID’s commercial technology legal strategy and transactions. This position requires the development of scalable processes and transactional solutions in new or existing market segments in a fast-paced global innovative company.
This role will include the management of complex commercial transactions with an emphasis on technology transactions and other multiple tasks and responsibilities. This role will report to the Senior Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate will embody and promote integrity, possess exceptional judgment and business acumen, and be able to drive scalable processes, innovation, and pragmatic solutions.
As our Senior In-House Councel you’ll support HID’s success by:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial transactions, including SaaS and other cloud-computing solution customer agreements, and channel partner agreements (e.g., OEM, distribution, reseller, and systems integrator agreements)
Providing legal guidance on data privacy matters in the EU, EEA and globally
Researching and advising on legal and regulatory compliance applicable to transactions in the EU and EEA
Supporting the development of scalable processes and templates for all of the foregoing transactions
Assisting in the development of contractual and process-oriented risk mitigation strategies especially in the areas of data protection
Creating and implementing company policies
Assisting in responding to RFP/RFI, questionnaires and compliance documents
Researching and supporting guidance to senior management on a broad range of matters including identifying areas of risk and mitigation strategies
Creating and delivering training to business teams regarding commercial transactions and other legal areas of risk
Advancing third party due diligence and risk mitigation strategies for vendors and other third party business relationships
Integrating the legal function within the business and provide comprehensive support
Your Experience and Education include:
Czech law degree, admitted member of the Czech Bar Association, who passed the bar exams (advokát)
4 to 5+ years of legal experience (past bar exams) and, ideally, prior in-house experience
Strong technology contract experience, including SaaS, cloud-hosted solutions and software licensing
Experience in a high growth and diverse environment; a record of accomplishment including driving results and working with a high performing team
International business experience is desirable
Significant experience counseling global organizations on commercial and compliance issues
Familiarity with global banking industry laws and regulations is desirable (EBA Guidelines, outsourcing requirements, audit and security standards, etc.)
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to create and sustain lasting relationships with customers and management
Strong proficiency in MS Office
