The organization of the Global Business Line Merchant Services is looking for an Application Engineer for the Terminal and Platform Support team. The Application Engineer will follow up on the issues related to Platform application and related to terminal payment solutions of electronic payment terminals maintained by Merchant Services installed on different markets within Europe. As a part of the team of payment experts (located in Prague), you will be cooperating with other teams around the world (Switzerland, France, Germany, The Netherlands…).

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • You become an expert on the different payment solutions Worldline is offering, mainly server-based applications but also payment terminal services
  • You operate as an interface between the customer-facing and development teams
  • You analyze technical data provided by applications and identify a possible root cause
  • You follow up on incidents reported by customer-facing teams
  • You proactively manage incidents through problem management by identifying improvement cases
  • You follow-up on a change process that might be initiated by discovered or identified issues
  • You coordinate with the external team about issues and tasks
  • You assist in severe incident handling process and contribute to a restore the service action
  • You contribute actively to transformation programs mostly in an international context
  • Skills we can’t do without:

  • Knowledgeable of server-based solutions and data warehouse
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodology and SQL
  • Jira Software knowledge
  • Excellent English and Czech language skills (written and verbal). Other languages could be a plus
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Skills we’d like:
