As a Senior Android Engineer you will help us build great Android applications by building new features and improving the user experience. You will be responsible for the code architecture and technical quality of the codebase. You will work in an Agile team and participate in projects which will allow you to contribute your ideas and shape the final solution.

You Will…

  • be responsible for writing high quality, easily maintainable and testable code
  • implement modular features used across all mobile apps developed by Fandom and cover them with automated tests
  • provide technical leadership on the development of individual components or features
  • identify problems, propose and deliver new solutions to improve technical quality and process
  • propose new ideas to products we build
  • automate and improve the development and release lifecycle of our applications
  • contribute to technical documentation
  • engage with testers, designers and product managers to provide great quality, look and user experience
  • provide mentorship to more junior engineers on an individual basis

You Have…

  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing Android applications
  • Proven record of applications in Google Play
  • Very good knowledge of Java, Kotlin and Android SDK
  • Experience with writing unit and integration tests
  • Experience with testing tools (Espresso, Mockito, JUnit)
  • Experience with version control tools (preferably GIT)
  • Hands-on knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
  • Strong problem solving skills and an analytical mindset
  • Knowledge of English at B2 level or above

Bonus Points…

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (preferably Python)
  • Familiarity with Dagger, OkHttp
  • Experience with Firebase
  • Experience with back-end development
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, eg. Jenkins
  • Open source contributions
