The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts at selected segments. This individual will be accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within a designated sales territory. There will be strong focus on welding segment. The BDM will work proactively with appropriate division management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. This position reports to General Manager of Central Eastern Europe and intensively cooperates with other colleagues based in region.

To give you an overview of your role and responsibilities you can look forward to:

Be responsible for sales goals/quotas in assigned territory

Hunt for new sales opportunities and once qualified/validated introduce them to the local UR distributor or integrators

Drive KPIs and action plans to achieve the annual target. Develop countermeasures to get back to budget if behind.

Manage opportunity funnel, forecasting and action plans

Canvass, initiate, qualify sales leads and follow through to ensure a solid sales funnel with distributors

Participate in joint visits with distributor’s sales reps to end-users and integrators

Represent company at tradeshows and other professional activities

Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace

Must be capable of overnight travel approximately 50% of time; or as required.

You will have office in Prague but can be located anywhere. You will report to Pavel Bezucky, General Manager CEE.

To be successful in this position we imagine you will come with:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred) or related subject

Minimum 3 years of experience in outside sales

Must have proven track record of exceeding sales quota

Experience working with distribution channels

Previous experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving welding

Good knowledge of welding technology – MIG/TIG

Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to end-users

Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from senior management to technical support

Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. PC skills a must.

Fluency in Czech and English

Knowledge of Polish is advantage
