SALES MANAGER – HEALTH, EASTERN EUROPE
IFF is a global leader in Probiotics, Fibers, HMO and Naturals (Herbal Extracts and Botanicals) for the nutraceutical industry. The European sales team have an opportunity for a Sales Manager with the skills to focus and develop customers within the dietary supplements as well as the chc/pharma markets
To maintain and develop the business relationships in one of our key geographies; Eastern Europe for Probiotics, Fibers, HMO and Naturals (Herbal Extracts and Botanicals) in the nutraceutical space. The initial focus will be to continue and ensure subject matter expertise in front of key customers, as well as develop new customers.
Main Operational duties
-Maintain and develop a customer base for Probiotics, Fibers, HMO and Naturals (Herbal Extracts and Botanicals).
-Develop business opportunities in the growing Eastern European nutraceutical market, while identifying and leveraging new opportunities for the company’s entire product range new and existing customers.
-Identify new sales opportunities by discussing and presenting various product mix, clinical data, application and solutions, terms and general conditions with customers.
-Support the broader organisation by identifying local market and product trends, while staying updated on customer and market needs.
-Manage and build relationships with key customer decision makers and stakeholders at all levels & functions (Science, NPD, Marketing, Sales, Procurement and Logistics) and within IFF’s internal stakeholders.
-Develop key relationships with existing and new customers, and to make sure to bring forward subject matter expertise throughout the entire buying process.
-Develop key account plans and actions for local key accounts.
-Be accountable for the market strategy, customer action plans, and development program pipeline required to grow or expand the business. Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and growth.
Degree or equivalent in a science-related discipline; microbiology would be an advantage but not a must. Experience with business development and conceptual selling would be advantageous.
Solid commercial understanding is important. Strong relationship to key market players within nutraceutical industry
Ideally two to three years commercial experience in supplying to the nutraceutical space would be highly advantageous, preferably in probiotics.
Experienced in conceptual selling to companies across Eastern Europe. Ideally you are experienced in a marketing-driven approach, looking at product concepts and claims.
-Good communication in spoken and written English is a must.
-Able to assimilate complex commercial and technical concepts.
-Strong business analytical skills.
-Ability to organise efficiently – Planning, implementing and follow up on actions
-Willingness and ability to face challenges and drive projects through the organisation internally and at the customer.
-A never give up attitude is required.
-Excellent inter-personal skills are essential.
-Able to communicate comfortably at all levels, internally and externally, both written and orally.
