As a Barclays Risk Platform – Support Engineer, you will be accountable for managing the service quality provided to the Risk stake holders and takes E2E responsibility of service operations. The E2E support includes ensuring Application management, KPI monitoring and reporting, service availability and the platform stability. You will manage the service improvement plan and Risk identification and mitigation. You will be accountable for the presentation of KPIs and metrics and managing infra-activities and auditing for applications.

What will you be doing?

  • Taking accountability for Production stability, Service availability and Governance
  • Building and maintaining solid relationships with Business and Technology stakeholders
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to make continuous improvement with focus on stability and delivery of critical Business deliverables (SLA adherence)
  • Engaging with Business Operations and development to ensure value driven delivery with agility and stability balance
  • Taking accountability for day-to-day operations partnering with the vendor Service Delivery leads
  • Being accountable for the definition and execution of service improvement plans including RTB projects
  • Engaging with the Global RFT RTB leadership to review KPIs and SLAs
What we’re looking for:
  • Personal attributes essential to performing role including competencies, expertise, knowledge, and experience
  • Experience with primarily Run the Bank roles in financial institutions, consulting or technology companies or programme management roles in other industries
  • Excellent vendor management skills, able to drive vendor deliverables as per standard SLAs & KPI, should be able to provide professional feedback on vendor services
  • Unix, database technologies primarily in Investment Banking domain (Exposure to Risk business area will be preferred)

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience in production support
  • High energy, hands-on and results & goal-oriented
  • Well organized with excellent time management, able to work in a pressurized environment
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principal and practices in Financial institution
