As a Barclays Risk Platform – Site Reliability Engineer, you will be accountable for managing the service quality provided to the Risk stake holders and takes E2E responsibility of service operations. You will be in charge of ensuring Application management, service availability and the platform stability. Moreover, you will be accountable for the introduction of new/changed services (Application Onboarding, Decommission), engaging with the BTB management to deliver and impact analysis against the Change Portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • Being accountable for the production stability, service availability and governance
  • Building and maintaining solid relationships with Business and Technology stakeholders
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to make continuous improvement with focus on stability and delivery of critical Business deliverables (SLA adherence)
  • Engaging with Business Operations and development to ensure value driven delivery with agility and stability balance
  • Being accountable for day to day operations partnering with the vendor Service Delivery leads
  • Leading the definition and execution of service improvement plans including RTB projects
  • Engaging with Global RFT RTB leadership to review KPIs and SLAs
What we’re looking for:
  • Degree in information system or computer science or any equivalent
  • Knowledge of software programs in any of the technologies like Java, C#, SQL, Python
  • Proven experience in working with structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, MSSQL
  • Proven experience in scripting technologies like Shell, Perl, Java Script, PHP, etc
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Knowledge of or working experience in cloud technologies
  • Familiar with big data platforms like Hadoop, ETL tools like Informatica etc
  • Knowledge of IB Business – clear understanding of trade lifecycle and Market data

Our Prague office is part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game.
