Allegro, as responsible Business citizen engages in regulatory debate. As a founder of the European Tech Alliance together with other EU tech players we want to help make the EU legal framework for nurturing and fair for innovative E-commerce and digital players. 

In your role you will help us monitor crucial regional regulations and engage in regulatory dialogue with public authorities. 

What does this role involve?

  • Monitoring draft legislations relevant for the Company at Czech and Slovakia level and – in cooperation with RA EU team- the EU level

  • Coordination of monitoring Slovenia

  • Informing all & Mall Group business functions of relevant legislative initiatives

  • Assessing – with support of relevant business functions – potential impact and risks for and Mall Group

  • Prepare position papers and draft legislative  amendments, liaising with functions across and Mall 

  • Present above to decision makers in Czech and Slovakia directly and via business associations

  • Ensuring enacted legislation is passed to business for compliance implementation

  • Seek legislative opportunities for business development and creating shareholder value

  • Participate in business associations, represent Allegro therein at EU and national levels

  • Represent Allegro – together with PA Team – in the dialogue with public institution at EU level and national levels 

We look for experts who:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, including in an international environment (internships or work in Public institutions are an asset )

  • Have a degree in Law

  • Know the legislative debate on the ecommerce regulations and – as an asset – broader on new technologies, the platform economy 

  • Know the rules of the legislative process and the institutional environment in countries covered and – additional asset -  in the EU 

  • Are familiar with the most important legal acts regarding e-commerce and internet platforms. 

  • Know very well Czech, Slovak and English, both spoken and written

  • Have very good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Are ready for business trips abroad

  • Quickly assimilate new topics, can search for and synthesize information

  • Can coordinate many tasks and give them appropriate priorities

  • Are independent, creative and can think critically
