Job Description

'Logistics Sourcing Analytics SME- Transportation ' will be a key role in our Logistics Sourcing Analytics Centre of Excellence (COE) team. Responsible for developing best-in-class data analytics process and system at HPE, creating business insight by deep data mining of logistics data and strategically partnering with Logistics Sourcing and various business unit stakeholders to drive cost-savings for assigned logistics mode ( such as Surface, Air and Ocean).

We are looking for self-starters, passionate data professionals who can leverage the power of data to drive commercial value and business insight to our Logistics Sourcing leads globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes in setting up a life cycle approach for Logistics Sourcing data analysis- establishing a structured process, system and engagement approach for all RFPs, commercial initiatives.
  • Forward thinker to build data models, insights leveraging AI, ML or "relevant" simple excel, Access tools to drive commercial insight and value to stakeholders.
  • Leverage logistics operational know-how to mine data to identify opportunities and lead projects to minimize and optimize cost.
  • Supports Sourcing Managers in Logistics Partner selection and contract negotiations ( RFIs, RFQs, Price analysis methodology, Negotiations, Target budget and savings assessment, Risk assessment, etc.)
  • Cost analysis, Data Validation, Data mining, insights, Ad hoc analysis to support various Logistics Sourcing initiatives.
  • Utilize analytical tools to manage, report spend, Cost savings avoidance
  • Collaborates with Global internal and external stakeholders (Global Logistics Sourcing, Finance, Contracts, Operations, Business Units, Logistics Partners, Digitalization teams, etc.)
  • Develop innovative approaches to review procurement process effectiveness and explore logistics solutions for customers and suppliers.
  • Provide education and training to internal staff on procurement policies and best practices.
  • Analyze industry trends and market competitions to deliver business improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically, 6+ years of experience in Logistics Process Pricing/solutions, Analytics, tenders, data function.

Knowledge and Skills:

    • Deep knowledge of logistics, market and fair understanding of the pricing of the assigned logistics mode including Add on services.
  • Knowledge of Logistics Solutions required, i.e. LTL/ FTL, Standard Vs expedites, LCL/FCL costing models, weight break, consolidation analysis, etc
  • Advanced analytical and technical aptitude with MS Excel, PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to leverage SQL, Power BI, MS Access, Visio, AI, ML tools to capture/present information.
  • Meticulous, detail oriented and ability to articulate.
  • Exceptional Written and Verbal communication skills including presentation abilities.
  • Reasonable flexibility to work across Global time zone.
  • Fun Loving Team Player who enjoys working with Cross functional diverse teams
  • Fast learner, ability to commit and lead with the belief of Push for Better
  • Time management skills to enable efficient completion of multiple tasks/assignments.
