Role description:

Our client, the Owner, is a leading European Utility Company based in Czech Republic, who is pursuing an exciting Nuclear New Build Programme. The first phase of the Programme (first unit [plant] with option for second unit), is currently at main delivery party bid stage. Arcadis is seeking highly experienced, technically capable and competent individuals, who are highly motivated with exemplary interpersonal skills and collaborative behaviours. The core focus is to assist and support the Owner team initially through a rigorous Tender Evaluation, negotiation, recommendation and award process. Subsequent transitioning to support the Owner team in the successful delivery of a large new build mega project.

Arcadis are seeking flexible, dynamic individuals ideally to be based in Prague for an extended period. Candidates wishing to travel on a more frequent basis may be considered and some roles may be UK based with travel to / from Owner offices as required to support this highly challenging, interesting and potentially rewarding project.

These roles present a genuine ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity on a governmental backed nuclear programme comprising exciting ‘mega’ projects for the right individuals to add to their CV and take up the challenge.

Role accountabilities:

Arcadis is seeking expert, senior and mid-level Licensing and Permitting Managers with recognised expertise in Licensing and Permitting with the following desirable criteria.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University Degree in a relevant discipline/ subject and/or proven relevant experience in the field
  • ~10 years’ experience within the Energy sector
  • ~10 years’ experience in Nuclear (incl. New Nuclear Build, Waste, Decommissioning)
  • ~4 reference projects within the Energy or Nuclear field
  • English language native and/or C1 (written & spoken)
  • Exemplary interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of International legislation and licensing process as a minimum, and ideally Czech Republic licensing.
  • Experience of the full lifecycle of complex Engineering or Technical projects, including licensing and permitting and ideally negotiation with local authorities, contractor etc. on large projects.
