Learning & development Lead

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join our People and Property team as a Learning and developmnet lead - someone who can independently cover mainly the following areas across Vodafone:

  • Development
  • Talent Management.
  • Succession planning
  • Performance management

The position is part of the global team - Vodafone learning organisation, currently with a team of 2 subordinates locally. It is a role suitable for a person who dares to set and manage the development strategy for the whole Vodafone in the Czech Republic, will participate in global projects, can manage the budget of millions of crowns, will follow the latest trends in the field of development, but at the same time will not be afraid of daily executive agenda. Last but not least, we are looking for someone who will fit in Vodafone, who doesn't mind making fun of himself, who can work in the informal environment that Vodafone offers, but can also work within the processes that the corporate environment brings.

If you are interested in the position, we would have a short phone call together first, then we would meet for an interview, we reckon we should manage in a maximum of 3 rounds.

And who are we looking for?

  • You will definitely need experience in an L&D role, ideally from a larger company environment
  • You will be communicating with colleagues at all managerial levels on a regular basis and translating business requirements into development proposals
  • You will be in daily contact with colleagues from abroad, without advanced English this will not be possible
  • Management experience is an advantage for us, but not a necessity

Main responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with Business Leaders and HR Director to identify learning, leadership, talent requirements linked to short and long-term business needs.
  • Definition and implementation of employee development and training strategy in line with local and group strategy
  • Mapping training needs across the company - Build/own the training plan to build diverse talent and skills across a defined area.
  • Design, organize and manage management and leadership short-term and comprehensive development programs, including regular communication of training opportunities
  • Implementing global training programs into the local environment
  • Take ownership for creating a learning and performance culture that supports individual and organisational performance and growth.

Others responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge of the local market and training suppliers
  • Manage working relationships with local market suppliers and vendors
  • Responsibility for planning, spending, and monitoring of training budget
  • Talent Management and succession planning including design, organization, and execution of talent programs
  • Performance Management and managing the annual appraisal cycle including implementing global policies and process into the local environment, ensuring all procedures are followed, communicating the entire performance appraisal process to the business, supporting the business and HRBPs
  • Working closely with HRD and local HRBPs in all 3 areas - learning, talent management and succession planning
  • Close collaboration in the areas of development, learning and talent management with Vodafone Learning Organisation on a global level
  • Directly reporting into the global Senior learning Business Partner
  • Part of the CZE functional People and Property structure
