What you will do

As part of our growing team, we are seeking a HVAC Controls Product Support Engineer for Valves and Actuators for a full-time permanent position in our European Technical Support Team. You will be providing technical support for Johnson Controls products and solutions to both branch offices and selected partners within the European region.

How you will do it

  • Provide second line technical support by telephone, e-mail, MS-Teams etc. and record all calls in the call tracking software provided

  • Report and record product and literature problems in the product problem tracking database, ensuring that the problem description is detailed enough to allow development engineers to analyze or reproduce the reported problem

  • Advise management of potentially critical problems so that preventative measures can be taken

  • Support branch offices at sales, engineering meetings and at product demonstrations

  • Participate at product deployment meetings giving presentations and or demonstrations

  • Provide ‘on site’ technical support when required. This may require travel inside Europe and occasional travel to other countries where Johnson Controls has a branch office or agent

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that branches/ customers receive the help, information, or solution that they require

  • Build and maintain training material

  • Give product training to both branch offices and selected partners within the European region

  • Keep up to date with current technological trends and standards

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering

  • Good knowledge of HVAC systems in commercial or Industrial buildings

  • Advanced written and spoken English

  • Excellent communication skills; good problem-solving attitude and strong customer focus

  • Ability to understand product BOMs, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and design specifications

  • Quick to learn, self-learning approach

Preferred/advantageous

  • The ability to select mechanical and hydronic components for heating / cooling loop design

  • Knowledge or experience of refrigeration systems

  • Some basic experience with CAD software

  • Experience in reviewing design plans and specifications with a background in HVAC Controls
