You will be a part of a large team of open-minded professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience. You will join a dynamic work environment and have colleagues from all over the world. Provider Health Assistant answers inbound calls from providers (doctor’s offices) regarding patient-related services such as verification of benefits, verification of eligibility, and other general physician-patient care support needs. You will collaborate with our Member Services team to help families get the most out of their health care benefits and create a best-in-class experience.
Important - working hours form 2pm till 10pm (to overlap with US timzone)
A day in the life…
Answering calls in a high volume, fast paced call center environment.
Seeking to understand the context behind the provider’s call by probing for information to understand the provider’s questions or support needs in order to ensure first call resolution
Working with providers and their office staff, ensure accurate recording of provider’s request is made into necessary systems
Offering guidance to providers regarding their patient’s eligibility, coverage, denials and appeals processes
Educating providers on how to reduce errors in process due to lack of information and educating them on how to most effectively support their patients in the appeals process
Navigating health plan websites to do additional research, supporting our utilization management process answering questions on status and requirements
Navigating and providing input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management of key business processes
What we are looking for…
Previous experience with customer service in healthcare, insurance, pharma or any other industry where technology, multi-tasking and verbal/written communication is used to drive their day-to-day responsibilities.
Excellent knowledge of English language, strong communication skills both in written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize own tasks effectively.
Excellent customer service skills; strong verbal and written communication.
General computer literacy.
