As a Global Senior Buyer, you will work with strategic activities in relation to purchasing from external suppliers of Siemens Gamesa. The concrete tower scope does include both the manufacturing and installation of the towers. In this position, your main responsibilities will be:

  • •Develop supplier base for manufacturing and installation of concrete towers in alignment with cross-functions
  • •Define and implement Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials
  • •Develop an in-depth knowledge of assigned commodities, global supply markets, new technologies, supply landscape and pricing trends
  • •Support technical cost out measures with cross-functions
  • •Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings
  • •Plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent
  • •Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement•Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)
  • •Ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to achieve high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)•Contribute to our Supply Chain footprint and achieve single source reduction and pooling activities
  • •You will also manage the procurement of paint products for corrosion protection of steel towers
  • What you need to make a difference

    Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. The ideal candidate has experience in direct material purchasing and/or supply chain and a relevant technical/commercial education.

  • •Work experience of min. 3 years in Procurement of industrial products
  • •Preferably experience in construction or precast industry, windfarm construction or project procurement (cranes & installation)
  • •Analytical thinking and structured approach with ability to simultaneously manage different projects•Strong experience in executing strategies that materialize in effective tactics
  • •An experienced negotiator who knows how to build long-term relationships and success•Strong track record of achieving cost reductions for external spend
  • •Strong team-player with the ability to work independently
  • •Good presentation and communication skills
  • •Excellent English skills (written and spoken), Spanish is a plus
