We are The Iron Lung, passionate developers and gamers at heart, working on an ambitious AA+ project which combines multiple genres such as Soulslike and Shooter.

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Unreal Engine Gameplay Programmer who will help us bring our game to life on multiple platforms; PC and console.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with all creative departments; designers, artists, and other engineers.
  • Implement gameplay functionalities (systems, mechanics and so forth) in accordance with Game Design Documents; Iterative and incremental development.
  • Develop a relatively simple AI framework for challenging AI problems and elaborate design goals.
  • Research to gain new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks and maintain a process of technological evolution; always seek the most optimal solutions.
  • Mentor other developers that are part of the studio.
  • Maintain clear and cohesive documentation for the design team.

Requirements:
  • Advanced C++ programming skills.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 (Blueprints).
  • AI Behavior Experience.
  • 4+ years of experience at similar position.
  • Advanced knowledge of creating game characters, including physics and animations.
  • Communicative English.

Nice to have:
  • Passionate about playing video games and most importantly, making them; experience with UX solutions for multiple platforms such as new generation consoles is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with the Soulslike (and shooter) genre.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with version control software; Perforce.
