Hi there!

I’m Maciej Karnecki. I’ve been with Egnyte for 9 years. Back in 2013, I was one of just a few DevOps Engineers at the company. Now, I oversee the team of 30+ DevOps people as the Director of Engineering.
I really want my team members to be able to thrive at our company. There are already two engineering managers working alongside me to achieve this goal, and I am currently looking for yet another Engineering Manager to join our team. About the role:
As an Engineer Manager, you’ll lead a team of 10-15 experienced DevOps Engineers that work remotely or from our office in Poznań. When it comes to all things technology—they know what they’re doing. Our job as leaders is to ensure they can focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions or concerns. 
You will support your team members daily, help them grow professionally, and build your team further. 
It’s a role where you can have an immediate and powerful impact on key services, processes, and—last but not least—developing your team. 
Here’s what you will be responsible for:
  • Putting your team in a position to succeed by answering their needs, removing obstacles, and keeping your team members motivated
  • Building a trust-based relationship with your team. You will hold regular 1:1 meetings with your team members and work with them to build personal development plans
  • Partnering with HR specialists to find new talents for your team. As an Engineering Manager you will actively manage recruitment budgets, candidates’ pipelines, and other hiring processes
  • Working with different stakeholders to align the team’s roadmap with current business objectives
About you:
  • At least 2 years managing 5+ people at an IT company 
  • Track record of implementing and coordinating processes concerning professional development, team motivation, recruitment, budgeting, etc. 
  • Experience managing a distributed team and collaborating with stakeholders from different time zones
  • Great communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
