EMEA Procurement Category Manager is responsible for managing dedicated categories of Indirect Spend, Facilities and Professional services, supporting business with sourcing new vendors, reviewing and monitoring performance of existing suppliers and overall is providing additional value to the organization through cooperation with 3rd parties.

Identify sustainable, long-term savings opportunities through the strategy creation process, identifying and exploring all potential value levers
Lead Regional sourcing projects within dedicated category and supports the Global Procurement and Sourcing projects
Build strategic relationships with a network of key stakeholders – understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition, align sourcing strategies accordingly
Influence key stakeholders and business partners to support strategy development, endorse recommended strategies, support execution and agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted
Build strategic relationships with key suppliers at a senior level and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships
Create comprehensive regional sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope of responsibility, operating with a truly regional and strategic mindset
Continuously challenge and improve existing processes, monitor compliance to the purchasing policies and report deviations, identify deviations, analyze the root cause and propose action plans to management
Provide reporting on purchasing spend, spend evolution, commodity evolution and partner with the other member of the purchasing department to drive action plans
Education, Experience and Skills
Experience in Procurement required (working within a Source-to-Pay environment is a plus)
Fluent English required
Comfortable with Microsoft Office – able to conduct data analysis
Data management / Data governance experience required
Experience with Coupa, Oracle, JDEdwards a plus
Exposure to managing/participating in projects is a plus
Strong affinity with sourcing practices & understanding the overall Source-to-Pay process
Organized, self-motivated, proactive, process-oriented with a sense of ownership
Customer-focused attitude, great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and very dynamic international environment
Comfortable working independently without close supervision
Willingness & ability to travel (approx. 20 %)
