Logistics & Services Procurement is a fast-growing, international team within Maersk. Co-located with our Area operational colleagues to foster close co-operation, you will be responsible for supporting and executing sourcing projects for the region that reduce cost, increase profitability, drive innovation and/or enhance efficiency. As a Procurement Analyst you will play a pivotal role in providing innovative procurement solutions designed for our local business needs, running sourcing projects and driving contractual compliance.

Cooperating with a broad variety of stakeholders is part of the daily job: internal stakeholders in Maersk, Hamburg Sud and all brands; as well as suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle contracts, administrative documentation and proper filing,

• Handle supplier escalations and financial problems on payment part by closely working with multinational stakeholders.

• Join strategy planning to set priorities for contract execution for responsible area. Shall be in close contact with SEU LOC contract managers.

• Manage and provide visibility on status of contracts execution to the team to ensure proper contract implementation

• Collaborate and cooperate with peers and other stakeholders to assure compliance and governance towards the contracts in Eastern Mediterranean Area Level.

• Ensure and support compliance. Ensure system updates and liaison with SEU LOC procurement team, finance or service centers ensuring rate implementations and accurate vendor information and creation in the systems.

• Along with the procurement manager, closely and regularly monitor projects and contract performance during the contractual period, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively taking actions to achieve the desired results.

• Supporting peer procurement managers by handling digital procurement tools.

• Take part in Logistics and Services tasks and projects including internal and external reporting activities.

• Negotiations within the responsibility level.

• Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from this to procurement and business functions

• Supporting peer procurement managers to improve collaboration and synergies across portfolios

• Support peer procurement manager by managing supplier relationships to maximize delivery of the value in the whole project and contract lifetime, work with peer procurement managers to manage and improve supplier relationship with our vendors.

• Act as an escalation point internally towards suppliers (and vice versa)

• Facilitate root cause analysis for non-performing contracts.

We are looking for

• The candidate should have good understanding of contracts and administrative documents.

• Good market knowledge in landside transportation and/or logistics and services procurement and/or cold chain and contract logistics.

• Result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity being well organized with high attention to detail.

• Used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.

• The candidate should have good understanding of management reporting, financial modelling.

• Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, while experience from BI systems is a big plus.

• Business-knowhow of logistics and functioning of procurement.

• Being accountable for integrating Contract Management requirements to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance by closely working with multinational stakeholders.

• High sense of Integrity & Compliance.

• Act as an escalation point internally towards suppliers (and vice versa)

• Facilitate root cause analysis for non-performing contracts.

Fluent business English and local language is a must!
Russian language knowledge would be a great asset.
