Job Overview:

TE Connectivity’s Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

As a Cost Savings Deployment Lead you will improve manufacturing cost (labor, energy, maintenance, external services, material yield …) and material productivity (insourcing, VAVE, etc…) at business unit level. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build methodology and roadmap for Cost Savings Deployment linked with industrial best practices 
  • Organize with plant and region date/ agenda/ resources/ data needed, in order to ensure successful productivity plan and result 
  • Monthly follow up of actions identified until full implementation in the plant
  • Promote and conduct workshop of Cost Savings to improve P and L and achieved budget
  • Monthly dashboard to report monthly results vs budget/ forecast, show top offender and add monthly priorities (workshop planning)
  • Quarterly and yearly benchmarking activities with gap to benchmark follow up per plant
  • Participate in strategic plan construction to confirm plant mid-term vision and future
  • Develop accountability, autonomy and entrepreneurship of productivity resources at plant level
  • Maintain a good practices data sharing platform and promote cross-fertilization
  • Connect with Functions (Procurement, Engineering, Quality, TEOA) to challenge standards 
  • What your background should look like:

  • 10 + years of manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor/ Master degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar
  • Experience of managing across geographies and cultures
  • Industrial knowledge on manufacturing cost optimization (energy optimization, maintenance cost, waste recovery and cost reduction, or external services improvement cost) 
  • Industrial knowledge internal productivity improvement (insourcing, improve internal regrind or external recycled to reduce material cost)
  • Worldwide network management (different plants in different countries/ continents)
  • Productivity manager experience is a plus
  • Results oriented
  • Fluent (written and spoken) English
  • Must have recognized leadership and coaching skills (motivating others)
  • Good understanding of the process of the plant
