As a Compliance Expert you will be joining the Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) team to contribute to the effective management of Qontigo’s main compliance risks by interacting with the business as well as with the compliance function of Deutsche Börse Group.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of relevant compliance policies and procedures namely with regards to Market Abuse Regulation, Conflicts of Interest, International Sanctions and Fraud Prevention
  • Coordinate the related support of Deutsche Boerse Group compliance
  • Supporting periodic and ad-hoc reviews of compliance risks, namely in the context of Qontigo’s legal inventory
  • Creation, update and execution of respective controls in Qontigo’s Compliance Management System (CMS)
  • Providing related advice to management, employees and customers
  • Preparing training materials
  • Preparing reports to the Qontigo Risk and Compliance Committee (QRCC) and other governance bodies
  • Building data bases for GRC relevant data
  • Facilitate the adoption of software tools
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, preferably with focus on operational risks
  • Understanding of financial instruments big plus (equities, bonds, derivatives, ETFs, mutual funds, SWAPs, FX, Commodities, etc.)
  • Flexibility to work with individuals located across multiple time zones
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – and the ability to clearly communicate relevant information effectively at all levels of the organization (English as working language)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to act with tact and self-confidence while also probing and challenging existing assumptions
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
