Aterian (NASDAQ: ATER) is a rapidly growing technology-enabled consumer products company that uses machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics to design, develop, market, and sell products through online retail channels (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, etc). Aterian was founded on the premise that if a company selling consumer packaged goods was founded today, it would apply artificial intelligence and machine learning, the synthesis of massive quantities of data, and the use of social proof to validate high caliber product offerings as opposed to over-reliance on brand value and other traditional marketing tactics.

About our project:

In this role, you will join the Supply Engine Team to work on an in-house project. We sell across multiple ecommerce marketplaces (the largest seller on Amazon!) that relies upon an automated fulfillment system for FBM orders on Amazon (from warehouse selection to shipping labels, to other elements, including product management, inventory visualization, and more.)
As a global business, our system needs to operate 24/7 with few unplanned downtimes. To achieve all this, we need engineers ready to dive in and help us grow. That’s where you come in.

What we need from you:

  • A minimum of 6 years experience in commercial projects, with at least 3 years as a DevOps Engineer
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux and good networking foundations (vnets, gateways, load-balancers, network security)
  • Experience with any cloud-based system (we use Microsoft Azure)
  • Intermediate English skills
  • Willingness for a long-term cooperation

What is nice to have:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch
  • Experience with build-pipelines and CI/CD
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Docker containers
  • Experience with Packer
  • Experience with Github Actions

What your responsibilities would be:

  • Analyzing infrastructure data to determine issues and foresee future problems if we don’t react soon enough
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and developing solutions
  • Maintaining the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implementing the infrastructure as a code
  • Applying security best practices
  • Helping the development team to accomplish zero-downtime deployments

What we offer:

  • Salary: 18 000 – 26 000 zł (salary in USD is also possible)
  • Hardware: MacBook Pro M1
  • Location: office in Cracow or remotely
  • Paid vacations: minimum 4 weeks
  • Paid holidays: all your national or religious holidays are off work
  • Paid sick leave
  • Internal training and workshops
  • Training budget
  • After performance evaluation, you can receive a bonus or a raise
  • Possibility to receive RSUs (we are on NASDAQ, after all)
  • Flexible working hours. Choose your working hours between 6:00am and 22:00am CEST.
  • Opportunity to work on an e-commerce system supporting a market of 329 million people. We are one of the biggest sellers on Amazon US

Recruitment process:

Your two interviews in our recruitment process will be like having a friendly conversation with another software engineer. The first interview is with a team leader whose team you would join. The second interview is with the Principal Software Architect or Chief Technology Officer.
Are you ready to make an impact and interested in joining our team? Don’t wait too long, apply now.
