Four Seasons Hotel Prague is looking for a talented Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our amazing and professional team.

About You and Your role

You will assist in providing the operational and management support to the Housekeeping Department, oversee employees including but not limited to room attendants, supervisors, public area, valet and laundry employees. You will be in-charge for the day to day operation in the Housekeeping department in making sure all runs smoothly for guests and employees. This is an Assistant Department Head level position and reports to Executive Housekeeper.

About the expected responsibilities in detail:

  • Schedules work to be done daily and monitors the progress throughout the day.

  • Interviews, trains and schedules the staff.

  • Conducts performance evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.

  • Conducts spot-checks on completed tasks to assure that all standards have been met, and provides feedback on the checks.

  • In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, is responsible for the smooth running and operation of the Housekeeping Department and all related areas.

  • Adheres to operating budgets.

  • Ensures service is provided in the proper manner. Understands, maintains and executes operational manuals and guidelines.

  • Supervises and develops personnel in the department to their maximum effectiveness.

  • Understands and Controls Costs. Detects waste in productivity and takes the proper action.

  • Establishes safe working conditions and practices.

  • Demonstrates a strong leadership presence for guests, employees and suppliers.

  • Solves guest Glitches directly with the guest and does the follow-up.

  • Liaises with engineering, outsourced laundry and front office departments to deliver optimum performance and collaboration.

  • Works closely with the Department Head to come up with solution to ongoing matters and to actively participate in the implementation.

  • Qualifications in detail

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management/supervisory role in Rooms Division / Housekeeping.

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels.

  • Ability to work with complex software systems in order to manage the department.

  • Highly developed people and business management skills, including payroll, rostering, cost control and expenses.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Czech and English language.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask and work under pressure.

  • Has passion for providing a great guest experience.

  • What to Expect

    This position is offered for a define period of time of 24 months with a possible unlimited extend based on your performance. Your trial period will be 6 months. Feedback is a key; therefore, you will be asked to give your feedback on regular basis and you will also have an informal chat with your 1 up manager and mentor.
