Overview

Responsibilities

  • Consultative skills for selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers
  • Rapidly acquire a thorough understanding of IDC’s offerings, reporting analysis, competitive advantages, resources, and processes and articulate them persuasively to prospects and customers
  • Establish and maintain healthy and extensive relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and IDC commitment to add value
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/ annual basis
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Active contribution within the extended team to identify, share and discuss customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Maintaining comprehensive understanding of the IDC product and service portfolio
  • Comfortable in writing proposals
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of work experience in the technology sector. Proven work experience as a sales representative. Background as Channel Specialist, Channel Manager, Sales Product Manager, Account Manager within a technology vendor, at a regional/local distributor, local integrator or ISV
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably experience in high technology (services, software or hardware), with proven evidence of prior success in Sales
  • In-depth knowledge of IDC’s products and services, and ability to feed client needs and desires back into the product planning process
  • Hands-on sales approach with a deep awareness of issues facing vendor and telco organizations, including end users
  • Ability to prospect and manage senior level relationships
  • Demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level experience required
  • Experience using sales tracking software
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Ability to work independently, while being open to direction and guidance
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills in Czech and English
