SmithNovak is an Events company creating international conferences. We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join our team of Business Development Managers who are selling marketing Sponsorship contracts to clients based all over the globe.
THE ROLE:
You will build strong relationships with companies eager to attend and partner our events.

SPECIFIC TASKS:
Find and contact potential customers by telephone and email
Carefully research new companies to understand their requirements, and interests
Send offers, discuss details
Negotiate prices and terms, close contracts
Build lasting relationships
Assist with the design and project management of events
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to speak and write a very high level of English.
A second European language such as Spanish, Italian or Greek would be highly desirable but not essential
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Ideally you will have at least 3-5 years of commercial business experience in a Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing or a Recruitment environment where you have developed skills and confidence in communicating with external partners.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
We are looking for an energetic, positive and confident person with a can-do attitude and great communication skills. To do well, you will need a curious mind and be interested to learn about the specific market in which we operate.
Specifically, you must;
Have some experience of managing commercial interactions between companies – any evidence of B2B sales or service in an international environment would be very desirable
Be motivated by the challenge of doing commercial deals with customers
Be computer-literate
Enjoy working and communicating with people and building relationships
Be interested to learn about the industry segment in which our clients operate
Be able to work to challenging deadlines and take personal responsibility for the success of events
Be resourceful, creative and able to work on your own to demanding deadlines
WHAT WE OFFER:
We offer a good basic salary with significant performance-based commissions and the opportunity to become a key figure in a growing and dynamic team. Our events take place around Europe and you will have the opportunity to travel 4-5 times per year to some of the most exciting cities in Europe.
