Director, Finance
Are you looking to lead a team of international accounting professionals responsible for managing people cost accounting and statutory compliance for our global subsidiaries? Do you like working closely with colleagues in tax, treasury, legal and other departments to tackle problems? If so, this team is for you!
We are looking for a candidate with proven management skills, including working with multiple currencies, foreign entities, handling sophisticated projects, supporting statutory audits, and collaborating across partners.
A great candidate can demonstrate the ability to use accounting knowledge and your experience to add value and assist in meeting the department’s objectives while working in a fast-paced, team oriented, constantly evolving, and growing organization!
What you’ll do:
Lead and mentor a team a team of accounting professionals directly or indirectly responsible for global statutory compliance (currently +100 companies) and accurately recording employee related costs
Continuously develop the skills of individual team members to promote professional development
Lead a variety of projects to simplify and automate existing processes
Partner with business leaders, tax, finance, treasury, legal teams, and external advisers on various business and operational matters
Work cross-functionally to establish and document new business processes to ensure compliance with local rules and regulations of the foreign countries
Engage and liaise with foreign service providers to support local compliance requirements
Be able to understand US GAAP concepts and their effects on statutory financial results
Lead preparation of the annual financial statements and coordinate the financial statement audit
Month end close – ensuring all monthly PeopleCost transactions are accounted for in accordance with local accounting rules as well as US GAAP, review of journal entries, supporting schedules and account reconciliations
Monthly/quarterly balance sheet and P&L variance reporting across all management reporting levels
Who you are:
8+ years of experience years of experience with a multi-national company
Chartered Accountant and / or public accounting experience in the technology sector is preferred
Previous managerial experience required
Language: 100% English proficiency, other languages a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of clearly articulating complex processes to audiences with differing levels of understanding
Ability to use accounting knowledge and previous experience to add value and assist in meeting the department’s objectives while working in a fast-paced, team oriented, rapidly changing, and high-growth organization
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data.
Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system
