Job Description Summary
Based on a structured process, as Supplier Readiness Engineer you will be responsible to lead and coordinate several activities to guarantee the supplier readiness for NPI and/or ramp up programs. You will take a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure that the identified Avio Aero suppliers are fully ready to support production on schedule and with the goal to secure the right part, with the right quality for development, in strong collaboration with Manufacturing Programs and Supplier Quality. Securing ramp-up and start of production with focus to meet manufacturing target cost set in the business plan. Readiness process allows Avio Aero and the suppliers to identify and address risks early in the process, thereby reducing the cost impact and chance of delay.
In this role, the Supplier Readiness will have to work with the AvioAero central readiness team.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for Catalyst buy parts readiness evaluation including capacity and risk assessment results
Coordinate with Sourcing Commodities to have adequate contract framework to support the program
Lead second source plan introduction
Lead medium sized projects or be a major contributor in bigger ones
Identify high risk or special priority parts and suppliers for the program
Monitor gap analyses and risk mitigation and recovery plan effectiveness and timeliness
Identify SPOF for the program/supplier in strong coordination with Sourcing Supplier Development team
Check the program’s KPIs and follow up on delivery improvement plans
Identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain
Advise both functional managers and other functions regarding best approaches, processes and procedures within your own field
Communicate timely, with accuracy and effectiveness across key stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements:
Technical Master degree, preferred Aerospace/Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university or college
Strong experience in Program/Project Management, Sourcing or equivalent
Ability to work in cross functional team
Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines and ability to think strategically
Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills
English fluent
Availability to travel
EU National

Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily.
